Background |
Windsor Lifes success within the Life Assurance and Pensions industry has been based on a corporate strategy of growth by acquisition.
In the period of 1982 to 1988, Windsor Life reached a target of over 75M of funds under management through the acquisition of the following businesses: Uk Life Continental Life New Zealand Life Grosvenor Life Over the next 10 years, Windsor Life acquired the following business: Combined Life Lifetime (UK branch) Aetna Life Gresham Life Aegon Crown Financial Management GAN Life These acquisitions have meant that at the end of December 2002 the funds under management have increased to 5,000M and Windsor Life now looks after the wellbeing of 623,000 policyholders.
An integral part of Windsor Lifes corporate strategy has been the consolidation of data from all acquired IT systems with an ultimate goal of migrating all in-force business to their core administration system, ALPHA.
Windsor Life have chosen to use resources from genus as part of the migration team for all their acquisition and data migration projects since 1995 beginning with the migration of Windsor Life legacy data. These key resources are seen as experts in all aspects of a migration.
