Background:
Windsor Lifes success within the Life Assurance and Pensions industry has been based on a corporate strategy of growth by acquisition.

During 2004 Windsor Life were aquired by Swiss Re who are rated 166 in the current (July 2007) Forbes 2000 top companies list. Since that time Genus resources have been invloved in 3 other major conversion projects. The Data Mapping Studio application developed during 2005 is now the standard Swiss Re package for data migrations and is currently being developed in 2007 for the current migrations of GE Life and a third party administration deal with Norwich Union.
An integral part of Windsor Lifes corporate strategy has been the consolidation of data from all acquired IT systems with an ultimate goal of migrating all in-force business to their core administration system, ALPHA.

Windsor Life have chosen to use resources from genus as part of the migration team for all their acquisition and data migration projects since 1995 beginning with the migration of Windsor Life legacy data. These key resources are seen as experts in all aspects of a migration.

The Windsor Life core administration system, ALPHA, now houses over 1.3M migrated policies. genus resources are proud to have been involved in the migration of all these policies.

Technologies:
The technology used is Visual Basic.Net, Unix scripting and Oracle PL/SQL. The database technology is ORACLE running under HP UNIX.
